4/3, 2008   Nugent Dance

Iridian Arts presents the return of Nugent Dance to Center Stage Theater in "small spaces / open gestures." This evening of intimate modern dance is filled with delicate nuance and packed-in power. Artistic Director Stephanie Nugent will debut her newest group work, "small spaces," in performance by company members Delyer Anderson, Samantha Corn, Louie Cornejo, Jess Humphrey and Kim Isbell (recent UCSB graduate). Nugent’s long-time collaborator, violinist Robin Cox, will perform live in this work as well. After six years presenting in the Santa Barbara community, Nugent will also revive duets and solos including "Bathers" (with guest performers Blake Hennessy-York and Sarah Pon), "untitled interior," "circa one," and "witness to a tale" to complete this concert of poignant dances.
